Two essential lesson from Rich dad poor dad

Introduction

Robert Kiyosaki is the author of this book, he had two fathers, one of his father who was a educated PhD holder but remained poor throughout his life and died in poverty, so Robert called him poor dad. While his other father was not very educated but was rich enough, Robert  call him Rich Dad. now it is a matter of thinking how any person can have two fathers at the same time.

His poor father had only one dream that after studying hard, Robert secure his future by working in a big company, but Robert's second father who was rich, he was Robert's friend Mike's father. He really wanted that Robert should take some challenges in his life because all the lessons are not just learned in schools.

There are some lessons that a person learns from the experience of his life, schooling can only give good grades, but the education of life teaches a lot. Of course, education has its own importance, but everything can't be achieved only by it.

Lesson #1 Rich people don't work for money

There was a man who had a donkey. Whenever he had to do some hard work with his donkey, he used to hang a carrot in front of him. On seeing that carrot the donkey used to work in the temptation of eating it. He hoped that one day he will reach that carrot, now it has become a good technique for that man but the poor donkey never got that carrot.

Because that carrot is just the illusion. Many people are just like that donkey. They work hard in the hope that one day they will become rich. but money remains just a dream for them. If you can never reach the dream by running after it, then instead of working for money, let money work for you.

When you want to become rich, do not work only to earn money because as soon as we step in the path of becoming rich our fear and greed starts dominating us that we will not remain poor. We start working more hard then our greed starts dominating us, we start imagining all the beautiful things that can be achieved with money, Now this fear and greed confuse us in such an affair that never ends, we work hard to earn more and then our expenditure also starts increasing accordingly. Rich dad called it Rat Race.

Now the result is that we work to the limit to earn money, spend it. This is a trap and you have to avoid this trap of greed and fear. Because most of us who want to get rich are victims of this type. Do not run after money, but make money to run after you, if your job is started then do not go to work thinking that you have to take a pay-check every month.

Because that pay-check barely fills all your bills, it becomes a story every month, then after getting fed up, you start finding another job work hard.  but still you are working for money and that is the reason, that you never get rich.

Face the truth, you are answerable for yourself, not for others. so ask yourself whatever question you have, because only you have the answer. Are you working only because to keep a secure job in your life ? where There is no fear of being fired from or you work just to earn some money ?

And do you think that one day you will become rich like this, is this enough to satisfy you ? If your answer is yes, then I regret your thinking because the dream of becoming rich is never going to be fulfilled. You will always live in poverty

But if your answer is no, then your first step will be to remove the fear from your mind. because the fear and greed of not making much money forces you to do things without thinking. And this step of ours has pushed us towards failure.

Of course we all have feelings of fear and greed, but do not let them dominate us so much that we are in their control and start taking direct decisions. It would be better to think a lot about what we do first, always work with the mind not with the heart.

Ask yourself every morning, are you able to do as much as you should, are you able to make full use of your potential? Stop thinking like ordinary people who do work only for money. Stop thinking that my boss pays less. I should get more. I work more than this. Remember that you are only responsible for your problems no one else. Boss does not increase your salary so do not blame the boss, do not blame the tax. When you take responsibility for your own problems, then only you can solve it.

This is the first lesson that Rich Dad taught Robert. One part of this lesson was that Rich Dad hired him in a Convenience Store. He did not get any money for this work. He just kept working. Robert worked with his heart and during this time many new ideas come to his mind, how to chase the money behind him.

He got many ideas about this. He saw that the clerk of that store used to divide the front page of the comics book into two parts. He would keep half of it and throw away the half. A distributor came to the store late in the evening. Takes the upper half for credit and in return gets new comics books. One day he asked the distributor if he could get old comics books. He agreed that he would not sell those comics. This was a new business idea in his mind. He gave all comic books to his friends and the rest of the children. He used to charge 10 cents for every book in return.

Every book was given for 2 hours to read. He was not really selling them. He did not even have to work on the garage from where he used to rent comic. He hired Mike's sister, She was given $1 every week. In the same week he earned $9.5, so he learned that let the money work for himself and not you work for the money.

Lesson #2 Why should financial literacy be taught

There was a meeting at Edgewater Beach Hotel, Chicago in 1923. Many world leaders and very rich businessmen became part of this meeting, among them Charles Schwab and samuel insul, the owner of a very large steel company, and the largest utility president of the time and many other big businessmen. 25 years after this meeting, many of these people had died in poverty, some had committed suicide and many had lost their mind balance. The thing is people get so involved in earning money.

That they forget to learn this special thing that how to keep the money, it is a real thing to retain whatever amount you want and if you have learned this art, then you will easily face any difficult situation. People who win million in lottery live in enjoyment for  few years, but then get back to the same old condition. Most people have questions about how to become rich or what to do to become rich, most people are disappointed with the answers to these questions.

But the correct answer would be that first you learn to be financial  literate. If you want to build an Empire State Building, then first you have to dig a deep pit, for that you have to build a very strong foundation, but if you want to build a small house then, Your work will also be done by putting an six inch concrete slab, but sadly most of us want to build an Empire State Building on a 6 inch slab and if they do this then obviously the building will break.

Poor Dad just wanted Robert to study a lot, but Rich Dad wanted to make him financially literate. Most school systems just teach home-making, not a strong foundation. School education and studies have their own importance but in real life this is not all.

These are only two lesson from the book Rich dad poor dad. I will upload three more very soon.
